When the car stops, the day stops

Most people calling a tow truck are having a bad day already. A dead transmission on the Northway. A fender bender at the light by Aviation Mall. A car that made a noise and then made no noise at all. Whatever put you on the shoulder, the part you actually care about is how long you are going to be standing there.

So that is the part we are straight about. When you call, you get a real person who tells you where the nearest truck is and roughly how long it takes to reach you. If the honest answer is 45 minutes, we say 45 minutes. Being told twenty and waiting an hour is worse than being told an hour.

What we tow

• Boats on trailers, camper trailers and utility trailers
• Low-clearance and exotic vehicles that need a flatbed and a soft touch
• Accident vehicles, including insurance and police-directed tows
• Long-distance hauls out of the area when the repair shop you trust is somewhere else

Flatbed or wheel-lift

Which one shows up depends on the vehicle and where it is parked. A flatbed carries the whole vehicle with nothing touching the road, which is what all-wheel drive, lowered cars, and anything with a broken axle need. A wheel-lift is faster and fits into tight spots like parking garages and city streets. Tell us the vehicle and the situation on the phone and the right truck gets sent the first time.

If you have been in an accident

Get yourself somewhere safe first, then call 911 if anyone is hurt or the vehicle is blocking traffic. When you call us, have the location and the make and model ready. If your insurer is arranging the tow, we deal with them directly. You are allowed to choose who tows your vehicle even when someone else called it in, and you are allowed to say where it goes.
